LIBERTY UNVEILS THE HOUSE OF LIBERTY WALLPAPER COLLECTION AT DÉCO OFF, PARIS

Liberty has unveiled its latest wallpaper collection, The House of Liberty, at Déco Off Paris.

Drawing on the design house’s archive of more than 60,000 designs, the collection continues the celebration of Liberty’s 150th anniversary, paying homage to the creative voices that have shaped its artistic evolution.

Following the momentum of the interior fabrics collection launched at Déco Off Paris 2025, Liberty now introduces a standalone wallpaper offering. Taking a contemporary perspective on defining moments throughout the design house’s storied history, the collection introduces 17 new wallpaper designs across the signature Liberty colour palette, elegantly combining lacquers and terracotta reds with rich brinjals and nostalgic neutrals.

Debuting panoramic murals and opulent wide-width bases, the collection is printed on an array of matt and heavy weight papers, pressed fibres, and pearlescent grasscloth fabrications, layered with luxurious texture and depth of colour; each design is meticulously hand-painted in the Liberty design studio in London and expertly crafted using traditional and cutting-edge printing techniques in Italy and England.

Reimagined on a grand scale, Prospect Mural showcases a fresh interpretation of Liberty's beloved Prospect Road design. Staying true to Bernard Nevill’s original 1968 design, this striking new interpretation pays tribute to the design house’s 1960s revival of traditional Art Nouveau-style landscapes. Intricately repainted and digitally adapted for the present day, Liberty designers conserved the original paint marks and textures to present a refreshed panorama of stylised trees, graphic meadows, and drifting clouds framed by alternating floral and paisley borders.

Glastonbury Stripe references an ornamental floral design, first printed in the 1970s and later revised as a dress fabric in the 1980s. Repainted from the original to a larger scale, a vertical garden design comes to life in a series of striped, botanical pillars, each adorned with an eclectic array of Arts and Crafts-inspired mirrored flowers, fruits, and foliage.

Inspired by the rural vistas of the English countryside, Autumn Landscape dates back to the 1920s and honours the design house’s enduring legacy of scenic motifs and print impressions, blending meandering paths past trees, flowing streams, and cobblestone trails. Meanwhile, Palm Parade responds to a loose fabric fragment discovered in an 1800s pattern book, showcasing a stylised row of carnations evocative of Middle Eastern artistry achieved using multiple printing screens to form detailed layers of print marks.

Infused with organic movement and natural rhythm, Symphony Trail draws inspiration from impressions of alpine plants, rock jasmine, edelweiss, and pink campion. Skilfully repainted at a large scale into a Tree of Life-style layout, oversized fantastical flowers are delicately sanded to evoke the textured surface of a fresco mural. Painted Thorpe draws from classic 1930s florals, now reimagined in three new watercolour colourways to present an enchanting new version of the classic, offering a charming interplay of pattern and form. Drawing inspiration from the Thorpe fabric design, a rambling meadow is captured across matt paper to reflect a soft, painterly finish.

Faria Flowers reimagines a collection of botanical sketches hand-painted on location at Hampton Court Palace. Originally designed as one of Liberty’s best-selling furnishing fabrics, the reworked wallpaper design brings its poppies, roses, dahlias, hydrangeas, and daisies to life through a sunlit meadow in full bloom. Meanwhile, Aurora Ink evokes an iridescent, ombré effect. Painted using washes of inky jewel-tones, the wallpaper introduces a sense of depth and atmosphere, drawing upon Liberty’s iconic plain-woven silks dating back to c.1909.

Eleni Vine responds to the rich heritage of mirrored Arts and Crafts-style designs. Adorned with intricate botanical detailing, the artwork comes to life through delicately silhouetted flowers and winding leaves, intertwined with summer berries. Shepherdly Bouquet takes inspiration from the vibrant blooms of the Tudor flagship store’s flower shop, presenting a medley of paisley-style botanicals. Created using eight rollers to ensure its intricate colouration,  blossoming sprigs meet with fine linework to bring each flower to life.

Originally created in 1933, Betsy Bloom reworks this quintessential 1930s Liberty floral for wallpaper. Reimagined in three new colourways for the home, Betsy is adapted to a larger scale design that showcases tactile, painterly textures finished with outlines of roses, primroses, bellflowers, and berries. Twill reworks classic Regency period stripes across five grasscloth colourways, referencing the refined elegance of menswear accessories.
