LIBERTY TO UNVEIL ‘SOFT ARCHITECTURE’ IN COLLABORATION WITH LORENZA BOZZOLI AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026

For Milan Design Week 2026, leading British luxury retailer and design house Liberty and Milan-based furniture designer Lorenza Bozzoli will present ‘Soft Architecture’, a bold exploration of how textiles can transcend surface decoration to become structural and experiential elements within design.

Located in the Lorenza Bozzoli showroom apartment in Brera, the installation will centre on a sculptural circular sofa composed entirely of cushions - an architectural form that blurs the boundary between surface and space.

Drawing on Liberty’s 150-year archive and rich textile heritage, Soft Architecture reimagines pattern and print beyond visual motifs. Fabrics are transformed into sculptural forms, with every cushion, curve, and fold contributing to an immersive architectural narrative.

Through Liberty’s celebrated approach to textile design, where patterns operate as both visual and narrative devices, combined with Lorenza Bozzoli’s innovative exploration of textiles as three-dimensional structures, Soft Architecture will translate Liberty’s textile culture into an inhabitable experience. Visitors will be invited to sit, touch, and interact with the installation, experiencing firsthand how textiles can shape space, form, and story.

A selection of new pieces by Lorenza Bozzoli Couture will debut alongside the collaboration, including a series of sculptural armchairs in woven straw that continue Bozzoli’s exploration of tactile materials and soft architectural forms.
