LIBERTY TO LAUNCH THE HOUSE OF LIBERTY WALLPAPER COLLECTION
The 150th anniversary wallpaper collection will be unveiled at Paris Déco Off in January 2026
14 January 2026

Liberty has announced a new chapter of The House of Liberty: a standalone wallpaper collection inspired by its iconic archive and enduring design legacy, created in celebration of the design house’s 150th anniversary.
Drawing upon pivotal moments from Liberty’s design history, the collection pays tribute to the creative voices that have shaped the design house’s artistic evolution throughout the decades. Continuing to build upon this design genesis with a contemporary eye, the new wallpaper collection celebrates Liberty’s ongoing authority as innovators and leaders in the world of interiors.
Rooted in the aesthetic legacies of Liberty’s 60,000-strong archive, the wallpaper collection explores defining eras throughout its design history: Arts Club (1860-1875), Town House (1875-1910), and Painters House (1960-1980). Referencing these key epochs, original artworks and furnishing designs are reimagined for wallpapers: paying homage to the design house’s illustrious past while looking ahead to future generations of Liberty design.
Designed to seamlessly complement the first iteration of The House of Liberty and existing fabric collections, the new wallpapers showcase rolling panoramic landscapes, blossoming trails, and painterly ditsies, offset by refined geometrics and sartorial weave motifs.
Unified across the signature Liberty colour palette, the collection features panoramic murals, opulent wide-width bases, and lustrous grass-cloths, layered with luxurious texture and depth of colour. Meticulously hand-painted in the Liberty design studio in London, and expertly crafted using traditional and cutting-edge printing techniques in Italy and England, the wallpapers elegantly juxtapose lacquers and terracotta reds with rich brinjals and nostalgic neutrals.
