Liberty has unveiled a new collection of apparel, comprising menswear and womenswear, launching from April ‘24 alongside a curated collection of silk accessories and scarves available to purchase now. Incorporating design elements from its latest interior fabrics collection, Botanical Atlas, the apparel designs reimagine the rare specimens, sculptural leaves and magnificent flowers for the world of fashion and accessories. 

Drawing inspiration from the global expeditions of its founder, Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty to Japan, China, Persia and India during the 1910s, the collection seamlessly blends the artistic influences of Arthur’s voyage with elements of the natural world.

Comprising event dresses, blouses, shirts and loungewear, the apparel collection launches alongside a capsule collection of silk scarves and men’s accessories including pocket squares and neckerchiefs. 

Adapted from the Cypress Stitch interiors fabric, the Voyage Sleep Bottoms play on its truly spectacular botanical paisley of tropical palms, feathery fronds and graceful ferns, offering the ideal unisex loungewear option for any escape.

Inspired by hand painted decorative screens often seen in early 20th century paintings, the Silk Tree Trellis Scarf reinvents the interior fabric to a smaller scale, featuring birds, butterflies, Chinese physalis, amaryllis and peonies. Seen on a rich silk twill infused with vibrant colour, bamboo trellises climb each side of the scarf creating an elegant border effect.

Embarking on a panoramic voyage across an imagined landscape, the Magical Plants scarf makes reference to the Indian garden paintings and stylised trees of the Enchanted Wood interiors fabric, reimagining its layout to centre leafy trees around a delicately painted frame. Printed upon a luxurious silk cashmere blend, scarves can be dressed down with washed denim, or paired with a cotton summer dress to elevate the simplest of looks.
