LIBERTY ANNOUNCES BOTANICAL ATLAS CUSHION COLLECTION

Liberty has announced the upcoming launch of a new range of cushions this March ‘24, using designs from its latest interior fabrics collection, Botanical Atlas. Drawing inspiration from the transatlantic travels of their founder, Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty to Japan, China, Persia and India during the 1910s, the collection presents an array of botanical artworks referencing the artistic influences of Arthur’s travels. 

Referencing Persian illustrations, Indian Mughal paintings, and Japanese Edo art within the contextual fabric of the collection, Liberty designers seamlessly blend the artistic influences of Arthur’s voyage with elements of the natural world. Rare specimens, sculptural leaves, and magnificent flowers inform the botanical narrative of the collection, reimagining the natural world for interiors with new and striking scales.

The collection presents 23 cushion designs across five unique colour stories: Lacquer, Jade, Lapis, Pewter, and Lichen. Bold spots, stripes, checks and geometrics are paired with the flora and fauna motifs to accompany the more elaborate designs of the main collection. Combining plush duck feather fillings with decadently soft fabrics, Liberty cushions offer the most versatile of interior staples, complementing both minimalistic and decorative interiors.

The Botanical Atlas cushion collection will be available to purchase in Liberty’s iconic department store in London, and online at LibertyLondon.com from March '24.
